Overview
Still searching for my true passion and purpose in life. And I've even read "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren, and all it did was drive me nuts. I'd consider myself a "Jane of all Trades." AKA, I have no clue what I'm doing...Details Tell a Story. I Just Interpret Them.
Where the Heck Do I Come From?
Well, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, they......just kidding! I just about freaked you out, right mom? I'm the daughter of an Army Reserve Officer and middle school teacher. I'll just say that growing up was very interesting and eventful. We were always on the go, always had something to do or someone to see. I definitely had a full and blessed childhood; who wouldn't, having grown up with three sisters? I'd like to say I've been humbled by my life experiences, but I'm only 22, right? haha... Let's just say, I still have much to learn from many different people. I mean come on, who ever has to bash Rick Warren has to be screwed up. I was born in Great Falls, Montana, and a few months after we moved to Los Angeles, California. After my 12th birthday, we were moved by the Army Reserve, to North Carolina. From there I visited many different places. You name the place, myself or one of my sisters have been there. After I graduated high school I moved to California to live with my older sister. This is definitely when I learned the most about myself.
Who is Meaghan Barlow?
Well, good luck with that one, I'm still trying to figure it out myself. This is what I can sum it up to so far. I'm definitely a passionate person. Whatever I'm doing, I do it with my whole heart. However, I like to do too much at one time. My body does not know what rest is. I've started so many different things, always seeming to lead to another opportunity or venue. Here are examples of the crazy changes in my vocational interests from age 16 to current: Counter-Intelligence Agent for the Army, Visual Merchandiser for Macy's, Financial Advisor, Commercial Leasing Manager, Residential Interior Designer, Commercial Interior Designer, Visual Merchandiser, Ministry, and now on to writing. We'll see what the writing will develop into.
Romantic Beginnings
I married the first boy I ever dated, the love of my life and my constant source of sanity and stability. Although I don't recommend finding your next spouse on MySpace, this is where I happened to find mine. It was a "Must Love Dogs" kind of beginning. I don't think those words were stated exactly on either of our pages, but we both made it perfectly clear that we could not date someone with liberal tendencies or a cat. He was a Californian, tall, tan and available. Not to mention he had the most beautiful 1968 Mustang I'd ever seen. It was a cool sea blue color, just like his eyes; so smooth, you would have thought you were riding on butter. They were both irresistible. One year after we met, we were married. Driven and inspired by my family's nomadic spirit and urge for adventure, we moved often and impetuously. As all things come to an end, so did our patience and likeness for the uncertainty of a solid and successful future. We finally made the decision to move to North Carolina to be closer to family and for hope of growth relationally, financially and spiritually. Aside from purchasing these perfectly fitting Latitude Femme shoes, moving to North Carolina was the best decision we've ever made! Oh, and getting married of course!
